So here’s our Liverpool Independents Christmas gift guide featuring a raft of local, independent businesses.
Gin: We’re lucky to have some amazing local gin distillers in the city including Liverpool Gin, Everton Gin and Anfield Gin if you’re looking for a football spin, Turncoat Gin, Handyman Gin, Three Graces Gin and Ginsmiths of Liverpool.
Rum: Liverpool’s first spiced rum, Lost Dock Rum, is a celebration of the Rum, Tea, Sugar and Spices that flowed through the Old Dock of Liverpool.
Wine: Bold Street’s Ropes & Twines are selling wine hampers, as well as chocolate and coffee hampers. Wine lovers should also check out R&H Fine Wines, an independent Wine Merchant in Liverpool with a gentle lean towards the hand made, old world, organic and biodynamic.

Toxteth Chocolate, or Tocky Choky as it’s affectionatley known was founded by Rebecca Birtwistle, a Liverpool-based chocolatier living and working in Toxteth, who wanted to inject some fun and innovation into the world of chocolate and she’s done just that with her exciting range of chocolates. Laura’s Little Bakery makes some of the best cupcakes we’ve ever had the pleasure of devouring and you can order via LIDS (Liverpool Independent Delivery Service). We are obsessed with Honey I Shrunk Liverpool’s photo prints. This creative artist incorporates some famous Liverpool backdrops into truely unique scenes featuring minature figures.
Liverpool Snapshotsis ran by local photographer Helen Maw, who takes some stunning shots of the city and our landmarks. She offers framed and gift wrapped orders, taking the hassle out of your Christmas shopping this year.

The Beers of Goodison Road and Beers of Anfield Road beer mats are a great gift for football fans. You can get your hands on beer mats of the current teams as well as some retro Everton and Liverpool line ups.
We’re proud to say that we have a growing collection of Pinhead’s enamel pin badges. There’s scouse themed badges as well as Everton and Liverpool football themed pins and a range of cult and pop culture pins. Rat pins are another local enamel pins seller with some quirky designs, who are well worth checking out.

Merseymade is a brilliant city centre shop selling a range of local independent products, from food and drink, to homeware and unique gifts. Depending on if they’ll be able to open before Christmas, you can pick up loads of gifts in here or you can shop in their online store.
Ten Streets Market is another shop affected by the lockdown, however you can message them on the social channels to buy and collect items from the store. There’s retailers like Bazspoke Lighting, who sell unique lamps made from spirit bottles and more, Heavenly Darkness wax melts, East St Concrete’s hand crafted concrete home decor & garden ware, Fabric Snug’s beautiful cushions and tote bags and EightyoneVintage vintage-style home decor items, plus loads more.

Music and Vinyl
There’s some fantastic Independent record shops in Liverpool including Dig Vinyl, 81 Renshaw, Defend Vinyl and Penny Lane Records who are offering click and collect and mail orders. Probe Records will hopefully be back open when the lockdown lifts.
A Slower Space on Penny Lane now have an online store and also offer a click and collect service so you can get the plant lovers in your life their green fix. They also sell a range of gifts so you can grab a whole range of presents in one fell swoop.
Experiences & Tours
If you’d rather gift an experience to someone this Christmas then here’s some ideas;
Reel Tours offer film and tv location tours around Liverpool city centre with a wonderful tour guide and host, Gary. Gary works at the Everyman and Playhouse theatres and his film and tv knowledge is second to none. If there’s a film or tv buff in your life then this is a great gift for them.
Shiverpool Ghost Tours are some much fun, designed to give you a few jumps and plenty of laughs, you’ll learn about the history of the city as well as some spooky ghost stories from suspected haunted locations.
