Jose Cuervo’s ‘Margarita Margherita Pizza’ Comes To Liverpool

To mark National Margarita Day (Monday 22 February), Jose Cuervo tequila is teaming up with Crazy Pedro’s, in Liverpool, to launch its Margarita Margherita pizza: a unique crossover meal that combines the ingredients of a Margherita pizza with those of a Margarita cocktail.

It will be delivery-only and comes along with a complimentry pizza-inspired cocktail, all for just £8.

The world’s oldest tequila, Jose Cuervo, teamed up with leading food economists to develop the unprecedented taste sensation that is the Margarita Margherita pizza. With lockdown seeing millions turn to takeaways and deliveries, Jose Cuervo hopes its Margarita Margherita will become the ‘pizza de resistance’ of lockdown meals for fans of bread, cheese, tomato and Mexican cocktails.

The Margarita Margherita pizza recipe includes:

–           A pizza dough fermented in Jose Cuervo tequila for over 24-hours

–           A tomato sauce marinated in triple sec, salt, garlic and Jose Cuervo tequila

–           A topping of Buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil leaves and grated parmesan

–           A garnish of sea salt and fresh lime

To purchase a pizza, please book in advance via Margarita Margherita webiste: https://jose-cuervo-margarita-margherita.myshopify.com

Deliveries (to L1, L3 or L17 postcodes only) of both the pizza and cocktail will arrive on National Margarita Day on Monday 22 February.
