Helen Maw’s Latest Track ‘Second Thought’ Builds Anticipation For The Release Of Her Debut Album

It’s a lovely moment when we review some brilliant tracks and artists from around Liverpool, but it’s even more special when it’s one of our own team members; Helen Maw!

Her music stems from her lyrics, expanding outwards and enveloping the instrumentation and guiding the track into its logical flow. Helen’s latest single, Second Thought makes it her 6th release following on from her debut single back in 2019 which will be the 3rd single teaser before the release of her full album Growing Pains on 12 April 2024.

All singles received widespread radio play from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio as well as a number of radio stations across worldwide. In 2023, she signed to Liverpool based independent record label Meadows Records.

Second Thought is the first song ever written by Helen, and given its particularly captivating lyrics, juggling the delicate topics of love and loss, it sets a wonderful mood for her music-writing style that really cuts through and draws listeners in. Should you want to get to know her music better you’ll find her Trilogy EP on the shelves of HMV and of course in all the usual places.

The newest album, and the singles released as part of it, were recorded at Crosstown Studios with the help of Jon Lawton on guitar. We recommend you get onboard so you can enjoy the album in all its finery and we’re really looking forward to hearing it and supporting our amazing team at Liverpool Noise.
