Eyesore & The Jinx Release Electric New Single ‘No More Nails’

Ahead of their highly anticipated debut album Jitterbug due for release on 17 November, Eyesore & the Jinx have released their latest single No More Nails.

Hailing from Merseyside, Eyesore & the Jinx have established themselves as an exciting band emerging on the scene. Their debut EP, The Exile Parlour EP came out during the pandemic and was made possible thanks to funding from PRS Foundation’s PPL Momentum Accelerator and thanks to an immensely successful crowdfunding campaign, the EP was pressed onto vinyl and released by Eggy Records in January 2021.

No More Nails, in the words of Eyesore member Josh Miller “is a song about compulsive behaviours and how we use our bodies to map our brains’ complex internal processes. It’s also a song about my gross, little cornflake fingernails that I’ve bitten into oblivion, and will likely continue to do so for the rest of my days.”

Despite the somewhat serious subject matter of the song, No More Nails is an explosion of 80s tinged nostalgia, with a catchy, often swag like guitar riff enclosed around the witty lyrics. The vocal performance of the track is conversational in its tone, there is a sense of familiarity to the way it’s sung. The driving percussion and thunderous bass line drive home the message of the song. The loss of control we all feel sometimes is echoed in the breakdowns in the song and yet, things keep moving, much like in life. No More Nails is a fantastically catchy song and one which perfectly encapsulates the energy and vision of the band.

With their debut album on the way and a string of headline gigs planned across the country, 2023 is set to be the biggest year yet for Eyesore & the Jinx. You can stream their brand new single No More Nails on all major streaming platforms now.
