Cheap Brass Release Exciting New Single ‘The Only One For Me Is You’
Cheap Brass are a dynamic four-piece independent rock ensemble known for their eclectic fusion of genres. Formed in 2021, the band have been working hard to craft their own individual sound.
Their distinctive style pushes boundaries and breaks conventions, in their own words, Cheap Brass “delivers an electrifying auditory experience that resonates with listeners of all backgrounds.” Their latest single promises to further showcase their evolution and musical prowess.
The Only One For Me Is You eludes warmth. It wouldn’t be out of place in the closing credits of a coming of age indie film. The song opens with pounding drums and rhythmic guitars, setting the pace of the song, the driving force accompanying the vocals perfectly. The vocal delivery is remnant of Michael Stipe of REM, there is a soulful agony to the vocals in the song – a sense of longing and almost regret evident. The lead guitar features prominently throughout, almost acting as another voice. It soars over the top of the track, shimmering perfectly alongside the vocals.
The Only One For Me Is You is a really strong single from Cheap Brass and showcases their songwriting strengths. If this single is anything to go by, I can’t wait to hear their future releases.
