Bunny Alex’s ‘Soft Spot’ Is A Melodic Manifestation of Romance

Bursting her way into 2024, Liverpool-based singer-songwriter, Bunny Alex provides a track for all of us hopeless romantics just in time for Valentine’s Day. With angelic vocals and an engagingly hopeful melody there’s something rather ethereal about this whole track. Taking us on a three-minute journey of finding and embracing those forming feelings of love, its beauty shines through so effortlessly.

Sharing a similar bedroom pop style to that of Beabadoobee and MUNA it’s hard not to fall in love with this smooth and rather transformative style of music. Taking me beyond the listening stage to something more, almost like I’m living the track itself. Drawing in with breathtaking vocals and a comforting beat, it makes for a sense of tranquility, yet still manages to bring in the euphoric side of falling into the early stages of love and the consequences of what comes alongside. A feeling that all too many can say they’ve encountered at least once if not more in their lives.

With Soft Spot being the third overall release for Bunny Alex it’s clear to see there’s no stopping her as she cements a place in the hearts of listeners. Receiving thousands of views and streams across various social media and streaming sites, Bunny Alex is paving the way for independent artists alike to build their own platforms. Proving popular with the Gen Z crowd via sharing her songs on the rapidly growing app TikTok. Posting short snippets of ‘Soft Spot’ and previously released tracks ‘Easy Game’ and ‘Habits’ provided a leg up on their releases as well as an insight into the artist herself.

With a mixture of talkative style lyrics and melodies you find rooting themselves deep in your brain, you get to see so much personality and the love for the music genuinely shine through.
