Akasya Hits Number 1 Restaurant In Liverpool On TripAdvisor

Turkish restaurant Akasya is making waves on TripAdvisor, hitting the number 1 spot as the best restaurant in Liverpool. The restaurant has been a big hit since opening the Summer of 2021 on the eclectic Bold Street in Liverpool City Centre.

Located in the former home of noted designer boutique Giancarlo Ricci, Akasya’s prominent location on Bold Street has seen it become a welcome addition to one of the city’s best food and drink locations.

The site has now hit number 1 restaurant on TripAdvisor in Liverpool, for a second time since opening less than 2 years ago.

Owner, Yunus Emre Uğur, said:

“We opened during the start of the second year of the covid-19 pandemic and it was not the best time to open in the hospitality sector, with many many restrictions and guidelines in place. Yet we hit the number 1 spot at the end of 2021 and have remained in the top 20 in the city on Tripadvisor for most of the time we have been open.

To hit number 1 on Tripadvisor again now,  in April 2023,  is testament to our team here at Akasya and our loyal customer base. Top spot from over 1500 restaurants in Liverpool makes us very proud here.  Liverpool is such a diverse city and I don’t think there is a more diverse street than Bold Street. It is literally awash with food from all over the world.”

Set over two floors, with well over 100 covers, Akasya has created a bustling and vibrant theme, based around contemporary Turkish cuisine, with a traditional grill, tasty baklava menu and laid-back cocktails to complete the restaurant’s authentic experience. Dishes range from adana made on the charcoal grill to specials such as beyti.
