Weekly Noise: Week #56

Weekly Noise is a short and straightforward way of sharing Liverpool’s trending news and topics in the form of a weekly poem. Laura Chonzi will take the top trending hashtags or stories on social media and turn them into a ten-line poetic masterpiece for each week of the month, hence the name.

France has become the first country to legalise abortion,
Swallowing this pill requires a lot of absorption.
A few social apps have been shutting down,
And as usual, X is the therapist for the meltdown.
Any thoughts on the autumn general election?
Looks like the tories are desperate for selection.
Did you celebrate world book day?
Cause it’s important to take heed to whatever affects our say.
Good thing we have the Europa League to keep us distracted,
From all the shenanigans that have been exacted.
