Professional Liverpool Announces New Sector Leader of Its Corporate Finance Group

Professional Liverpool, one of the city’s leading cross-sector professional services membership bodies, has appointed Mark Borzomato as Sector Lead of its Corporate Finance Group.

The Corporate Finance Group provides a platform to connect member organisations across multiple sectors including accounting and advisory firms, banks, law firms, private equity investors and enterprises.

Mark, CEO of Liverpool based fund manager River Capital, brings with him over 25 years’ experience in the Liverpool Corporate Finance community which is complemented by his roles as a member of the Liverpool Chamber Business Policy Committee and an Investment Committee member at early-stage innovation investor Lyva Labs.

Working closely with new Professional Liverpool Chief Executive, Phil Adams, a key focus of Mark’s appointment will be to foster greater unity between the professional services sector and other regional stakeholders operating in Liverpool’s corporate finance ecosystem. This will be supported by a calendar of events, training programmes and initiatives designed to maintain Liverpool’s reputation as one of the North’s economic powerhouses.

Professional Liverpool CEO, Phil Adams, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Mark as Sector Lead of our Corporate Finance Group at this exciting time for both Professional Liverpool and the city’s professional service sector.

“Mark’s proven track record and extensive experience in working with some of the city’s key professional services groups as well as his history of supporting and investing in numerous local SMEs will prove invaluable as Professional Liverpool works to provide continued value, education and advocacy for Liverpool’s dynamic professional services community whilst working closer with our various counterparts.”

Mark Borzomato said: “Liverpool has a fantastic professional services community but it is crucial organisations such as PL continue to raise the awareness of this capability. By coming together we can continue to elevate the profession, create opportunities, attract and retain talent and better support businesses of all sizes in the region as they pursue their ambitions.

“I look forward to working alongside Phil, members of the Corporate Finance Group and other industry networks across Liverpool to amplify our collective voice.”
