The Brunch Club Afternoon Tea Becomes ‘Afternoon Tree’

The Brunch Club Afternoon Tea with a twist….

The Brunch Club has revitalised its Duke Street home since relaunching in April, from its botanical garden-esque interior to its inventive menu it has proved to be a winning formula as every time we walk past the place it’s full of brunch goers.

The formidable team behind The Brunch Club are continually working hard to make the bar and eatery stand out and one way in which they’re doing that is with the introduction of their quirky take on afternoon tea. Allow us to introduce you to their Afternoon Tree; in which all the dishes and plates of your traditional afternoon tea are served on branches within a tree. Let’s put it this way, when our tree arrived it turned the heads of all the other diners!

Brunch Club Liverpool Afternoon Tea

The Afternoon Tree consists of all that you would expect from a good afternoon tea and excels. There’s the fresh finger sandwiches which are an absolute must, but then there’s extra savoury treats such as the cheese and tomato croissants which were just lovely. Combining the sweetness of the croissant with the savoury taste of the cheese and tomato, this was one of our highlights. To add to the savoury surprises there’s a pumpkin, feta and pecan tartlette alongside a Beetroot tartlette which added an extra touch of class to the experience.

Now onto the sweet treats; macaroons are a must for a good afternoon tea these days and the ones at The Brunch Club tasted delicious! You can also expect mini homemade scones served with fresh strawberries, blueberries, jam, cream and even nutella! And as if that wasn’t enough, at the top of the tree we found mini chocolate and salted caramel brownies and bakewell slices.

Since our visit last week, we haven’t been able to stop thinking about the food at The Brunch Club, our previous visit for brunch had been an experience to remember and our Afternoon Tree visit was just the same. Although it sounds cliche, we will certainly be heading back to The Brunch Club again very soon….it’s just that good!

Afternoon Trees at The Brunch Club are served every day between 2pm and 5pm and are priced at £19 per person with tea or coffee or £26 per person with prosecco or a cocktail. Booking is essential.
