Fun Things to do in Liverpool

Spooky Season Of Fun And Thrills Arrives At Liverpool ONE

Liverpool ONE is gearing up to welcome witches, ghouls, zombies – and everything in between – as its ultimate annual Halloween celebration gets underway on Sunday 29 October 12-5pm.

This year’s festivities will see the return of the much-loved fancy-dress competition, scary characters, zombie dances from MD productions and eerie characters taking over Liverpool ONE.

Hosted by Radio City Breakfast Show presenters Leanne Campbell and Scott Hughes, the spooktacular fancy dress competition will give youngsters the opportunity to show their creativity for a chance to win prizes.

Katumba will lead on a special Halloween parade with the scary participants of the fancy-dress competition who will be invited to join and show their look to the crowds across Liverpool ONE.

Adventurous visitors to the spooky event will be faced by giant trees roaming the streets, living lamppost, a hungry venus flytrap and giant slinkies. Completing the line-up is a giant spider which has nested on South John Street ahead of the event.

Donna Howitt, Place Strategy Director at Liverpool ONE, said: “Halloween is one of our favourite events of the year at Liverpool ONE – we are looking forward to welcoming families of all ages turn out in their fancy dress as they get into the spirit and join in the fun.

“Every year we are surprised by the creativity showcased at the fancy dress competition. Bringing people together is something we’re incredibly passionate about and we’re thrilled to welcoming back some of our fantastically spooky performers again.”
