New Year’s Eve Parties At BoBo And Abditory

Your New Year’s plans are sorted with two of the city’s most popular bars, BoBo and Abditory!

The brilliant Iberian bar BoBo on Castle Street is ringing in the New Year in typically authentic style with a Pincho Party, live music and a rising star DJ.

BoBo, which has enjoyed a 2022 full of accolades including being named in the Observer Food Monthly Awards as one of the UK’s best places to drink, will be serving up a dose of Spanish sunshine on December 31 for a truly feliz Año Nuevo

Small, skewered snacks, known in Spain as pinchos will be served all night and washed down with knockout cocktails, accompanied by fine tunes.

On the decks is up and coming DJ, Reverend Fresh. The Rev has performed his infectious blend of Chicago and French house, deep house, disco and dance-floor jams at Merseyside venues Camp and Furnace, Bar Bodega, Brick Street, Checkpoint Charlie’s and Blind Pig, in Heswall and West Kirby.

The former award-winning journalist moved into the music industry five years ago and has worked on events and club nights with New York iconic band Fun Lovin’ Criminals; reggae legends Trojan Sound System; disco’s rising stars Shaka Loves You; the legendary Craig Charles; Bristol hip-hop duo The Allergies; Prince-loving reggae act Radio Riddler; and the new wave of French DJs from Paris: Wlad, Thurman and Ams.

He made his festival debut at Lancashire’s Beat Herder in July this year and joined multi-awarding winning Birkenhead’s Future Yard Promoter Collective last month. The righteous DJ said: “The vibe on New Year’s Eve at BoBo will be electric, with sounds of Latin disco, NYC disco, deep house and classic dance-floor jams. It will be a proper party and a night to remember.”

And before he starts spinning, Liverpool singer songwriter, Michael Dumbell will be getting the party started with some rock out songs, guaranteed to get you singing.

Meanwhile over at BoBo’s sister bar Abditory on Queen Avenue between Dale Street and Castle Street, the amazing Connor Farrell will be performing all night sets. Connor, who has performed all over the country has in recent years become one of Liverpool’s most popular live performers playing a mix of classic covers and original songs.

Guests can enjoy free toasties, a heated winter terrace, boards games and of course Abditory’s lauded classic menu of cocktails.

Steven Burgess, of Lucky Penny Group owners/operators of both bars, said: “We love a party at BoBo and Abditory and on New Year’s Eve we have got a choice and we hope people visit both. We are delighted to be showcasing some great local talent, including the turntable skills of DJ Reverend Fresh. It’s going to be a mad one with singing and dancing to the wee small hours.”
