New Shops, Restaurants And Hotels Opening In Liverpool This Spring / Summer

Visitors to Liverpool city centre will see new brands, shops and restaurants on the high streets this Spring and Summer with new openings scheduled for the coming months. From big eats to beauty, hotel stays to fashion favourites, Liverpool BID Company showcases the new names coming to the city centre set to create hundreds of new jobs in the hospitality and retail industry.

Albert Schloss on Bold Street

The team behind Albert Schloss has already transformed one building on Bold Street with the stunning revamp of the former Sainbury’s supermarket with a Rudy’s Pizza. Now, the Mission Mars team turns their attention to Radiant House, one of the oldest and most striking buildings on Bold Street. Once home to The Liverpool Gas Company, the new venue will house a Ludwig’s tavern on the first floor, a bakery, restaurant dining for 500 and a stage space. Grade II listed and built in the 1920s, the stunning building will also see the restoration of a glass atrium.

Decathlon on Church Street

Sporting goods retailer Decathlon will open a flagship store on Church Street later in April. Taking a 15 year lease on the former Next store the brand will build on Liverpool’s sporting culture on the ground and first floor of the six storey building. The upper floors will be taken by storage unit operator StoreAway. One of the UK’s key outdoor and sporting retailers, Liverpool shoppers will be able to browse Decathlon’s eco-range.

Flannels on Parker Street

The new flagship Flannels will occupy an historic place on the Liverpool high street. The former Owen Owen building was once the jewel in the city’s department store crown. The new Flannels will be a place for luxury fashion as will as fitness. The brand has announced they are making space for a Barry’s fitness studio inside the new store. Due to open this summer both brands aim to bring a new experience to the city centre.

Radisson Red at Lime Street

The former North Western Hotel on Lime Street was a luxury welcome for 19th century travellers. The building will see a return to its stunning past when it reopens as a Radisson Red later this year. Restoration has already begun on the stained glass window above its grand staircase. Liverpool’s will be the fifth Radisson Red in the UK, with the brand catering for a more lifestyle market.

Zenn Liverpool on Victoria Street

Complete with garden, sunset views and cocktails, Zenn Liverpool is an Asian inspired restaurant and bar opening this summer. With a rooftop bar and promising a relaxing and soulful atmosphere, the venue seats 350 so will be a bustling central spot for the summer months.

So Salsa on Castle Street

The famed Crosby tapas restaurant, So Salsa, brings its famous flavours to Castle Street. Priding itself on tapas dishes from cuisines around the globe, not simply Spain, the family-run restaurant comes to the city centre with an excellent reputation for food and service.

Nova Scotia at Mann Island

The name comes from the dockside village that once stood on Liverpool’s waterfront, and the team behind Ma Boyle’s promise to celebrate the city’s maritime culture with their new venue. Their third venue in Liverpool city centre, Nova Scotia will offer indoor and outdoor dining, along with the vibrant atmosphere that typifies their other venues.

Cheers Big Ears on Bold Street 

Cocktails and sports are sure to be the perfect combination for this new bar on Bold Street. On the first floor there will be an interactive games area while a light bites menu will see the venue cater from daytime to nighttime visitors.
