Mann Island Social Review

The balance between exclusivity/inclusivity and trendy/welcoming has always been a difficult one to find for new venues. Mann Island Social have managed to blur the lines between labels to bring us something that oozes class, yet also serving up to be an ideal place for a casual drink.

Mann Island Social Liverpool

An extensive cocktail and shake list, wonderful selection of beers and wines and plenty more to boot, this Mann Island location boasts an outdoor drinks area, crowded with office workers, tourists and locals alike, which takes advantage of the view across to the Royal Albert Dock.

The drinks menu alone would likely indicate a return visit just to try the Oreo & Spiced Rum shake, but the food selection too was well thought out. Ranging from sharing platters for ‘Brunch’ then ‘Buns’ to ‘Bowls’, we opted for Squeeky Bun and Bang Bang Chicken Bowl (with a side of Mac n Cheese, of course). Neither disappointed. With top ingredients and reasonable prices, it’s difficult to fault and would be a wonderful location for a tourist to stumble upon through a tour of the docks.

It should come as no surprise that the team behind Mann Island Social and Avenue HQ know what they’re doing as they bounce off the success of sister venues across the UK such as Leeds’ East Parade Social and Liverpool’s St. Paul’s Social, the latter serving the business district of our great city.

There’s plenty more to come from this venue and allowing the area of the Three Graces to come alive with bars and restaurants can only be good news, especially with a winning combination that they have, we can hopefully see Mann Island Social strive.
