Liverpool Tikeasy, Danny C’s, Opens On Seel Street

Danny C’s, Liverpool’s new Tikeasy, opened on Seel Street on Thursday 19 October.

Serving expertly made cocktails inspired by owner Daniel Cunningham’s travels around the world, as well as delicious small plates and global wines, Danny C’s will welcome guests from Thursday to Sunday every week to enjoy exceptional table service in a relaxed atmosphere.

A combination of a Speakeasy and Tiki bar, Danny C’s reflects both the professional service style and quality of a speakeasy but with no password access and a less formal approach, whilst also paying homage to a classier Tiki bar with a relaxed, cozy atmosphere.

Daniel and his team serve a range of cocktails that have been created by Daniel himself including El Levantamiento with Diplomatico Exclusiva, lemon juice, red wine syrup, sparkling red wine and cigar bitters, the Rau Thom with spiced rum, panda leaf soda and lemon and the Maria with Brugal 1888, in-house Cuban cola and limes, with all ingredients made in his very own cocktail lab.

The cocktail lab is a labour of love for Daniel, where he creates coulis, infusions, syrups, creams, liqueurs, bitters and jams where he extracts, emulsifies, ferments and clarifies a range of ingredients to create his unique cocktails that are all carefully crafted in-house.

Daniel has worked in the hospitality industry for many years with his job taking him all over the world to destinations including the Maldives, USA, Barbados, Venezuela, Oslo, Dubai, Cayman Islands and Thailand to name a few.

Danny C's Tikeasy Food and Drink

Danny C’s cocktail menu reflects Daniel’s globetrotting, with the Tikeasy’s cocktail menu including sections of drinks from specific continents including the Middle East, South East Asia and the Americas.

The Tikeasy also specialises in Classic cocktails with all of the notable favourites including Paloma, Fish House Punch, Fog Cutter, Penicillin and Ramos Gin Fizz and more on the menu, as well as an extensive list of 100 classic cocktails that can be made on request for the experienced cocktail drinker with a niche preference.

For those who prefer wine, Danny C’s has an interesting list of global wines from Morocco and the Middle East, and paired perfectly with the wines are the venue’s delicious small plates.

The food element of Danny C’s is made by Bitter Social; the Liverpool-born concept that’s been popping up all over Europe over the last five years, creating unique dining experiences.

Creating a small menu of dishes, Bitter Social serves up Cheesy Nachos with mole, salsa verde and American-style cheese, as well as Bone Marrow Pasta with Cafe De Paris cavatelli and Stuffed Caprese packed with peeled tomatoes, stuffed mozzarella, basil oil and white balsamic, to name a few.

There is also be a luxurious oyster menu and a dessert option including their Whipped Cheesecake with berry compote, stock citrus curd and biscuit.

Opening with 35 seats, Danny C’s encourages walk-ins. For more information on private hire or any bookings, guests can contact the bar via [email protected].

Owner Daniel Cunningham explained: “We’ve been working incredibly hard behind the scenes on both the build and menu of Danny C’s and myself and the team are really excited to be opening our doors from Thursday 19 October.

“Our menu caters for all; there’s a selection of unique cocktails from around the globe which have been created to evoke nostalgia and bring back really happy memories for our guests if they’ve visited the destinations. For those who prefer classic cocktails, we’ll have an extensive list of your favourites that are expertly made by our team with all ingredients being handcrafted in our very own cocktail lab to maximise flavour.

“To compliment our cocktails and global wines, we’ll have some carefully selected small plates that can be enjoyed at Danny C’s; there is an option to have dishes paired with wine or to simply enjoy a light bite alongside your chosen beverage.

“From Thursday we’ll be welcoming our guests into Liverpool’s first Tikeasy where they can experience the exceptional service of a speakeasy, but in a relaxed, cozy setting.”
