There’s a new reason to make a morning trip to Sefton Park: Frankley’s Bakery is serving hot bacon and sausage barms from its trailer near the boating lake.
Open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm, the trailer has become a weekend stop for coffee, pastries and freshly baked bread. Now visitors can pick up a bacon barm, a sausage barm or one with both, served on the bakery’s own sourdough or brioche.
The bread is made by Frankley’s team at its production facility at The Wheelbarrow on Greenbank Lane before heading to the park. Alongside the new breakfast menu, the trailer stocks a changing selection of sourdough, focaccia, baguettes and brioche, plus croissants, cakes and other sweet treats.
Owner Keith Perryman said: “There aren’t many things better than a really good bacon or sausage barm, especially when it’s served on bread made by our own bakers just down the road.
“The trailer is all about becoming part of people’s Sefton Park routine. You can grab breakfast and a coffee, pick up a freshly baked loaf to take home or treat yourself to something sweet.”
Frankley’s Bakery launched earlier this year and takes its name from owners’ dogs, Frank and Stanley. Its baked goods are also served at sister venues The Watering Can and The Wheelbarrow, with more seasonal treats planned for autumn.
Frankley’s Bakery trailer is open Saturdays and Sundays, 9am–5pm, close to the boating lake in Sefton Park.
