Hawksmoor Launches New Steak Flight Experience Featuring Four Premium British Steaks
Hawksmoor has launched a new Steak Flight experience across its UK restaurants, giving diners the chance to sample four premium cuts of British beef side by side.
Designed for sharing, the new tasting experience showcases four distinct steaks from renowned cattle breeds and British farms, allowing guests to explore how different breeds, farming methods and diets influence the flavour and texture of beef.
Each Steak Flight comes with accompanying tasting notes, encouraging diners to discover new cuts, compare flavours and perhaps find a new favourite beyond their usual order.
For the past 20 years, Hawksmoor has built its reputation on sourcing, ageing and cooking high-quality British beef. The restaurant group works closely with a small network of British farmers who prioritise animal welfare, soil health and traditional farming methods.
The new Steak Flight brings that approach to the table, highlighting the differences between four carefully selected cuts.
What’s Included in Hawksmoor’s Steak Flight?
Wildfell Wagyu Sirloin
Sourced from Wildfell Farm in Norfolk, this Wagyu beef comes from cattle raised as part of efforts to restore historic British farmland. Finished on a diet including malt nuts and potato peelings, the steak offers a rich, buttery flavour.
Hawksmoor Farms Rump
Sourced from Hawksmoor’s long-standing network of small British farms, this rump comes from cattle raised slowly on a natural grass and forage diet. The traditional approach produces a distinctive, naturally beefy flavour.
Longhorn Rib-Eye
Longhorn beef has been part of Hawksmoor’s story since the beginning. When the restaurant first opened 20 years ago, co-founders Will Beckett and Huw Gott chose beef from a Longhorn herd in North Yorkshire because they considered it the best they had ever tasted.
The native British breed was once close to extinction in the 1970s, but was saved through the efforts of dedicated farmers. Hawksmoor continues to work with some of those same farms today.
Aberdeen Angus Fillet
The final cut is a British Aberdeen Angus fillet, known for its fine grain and exceptional tenderness. Slowly reared on heritage British farms, the steak offers a smooth texture and a clean, rich beef flavour.
How Much Does Hawksmoor’s Steak Flight Cost?
Every steak included in the flight is dry-aged and cooked over Hawksmoor’s signature charcoal grills.
The experience is priced at £200 and recommended for four to five people, making it an option for groups looking to enjoy something a little different on their next visit.
The Steak Flight is available for a limited time across all Hawksmoor UK restaurants, including its Liverpool restaurant. There’s no need to book the experience in advance, as diners can simply order it at their table.
Alongside the launch, Hawksmoor has also introduced a new own-label Mendoza Malbec, created in collaboration with Argentine winery Kaiken. The wine is available exclusively at Hawksmoor restaurants.
