NOEL FIELDING, star of multi-‐award  winning comedy duo The Mighty Boosh, has today announced his first solo live tour in five years, AN EVENING WITH NOEL FIELDING, coming to The Auditorium at Echo Arena Liverpool on Friday 7 November 2014.

Expect a magical mix of Noel’s unique brand of stand up comedy, live animation, music and some of Fielding’s best-‐known TV characters(such as The Moon and Fantasy Man).   There will also be muscular support from the loose stylings of Mike Fielding (Naboo / Smooth) and the physical lunacy of Tom Meeten (The Mighty Boosh / Oram & Meeten).

Despite  his  huge  success  as  one  half  of  The  Mighty  Boosh,  “the  funniest  comedy  double-‐act  in Britain,”  (NME)  Noel  has continually  worked  on  his  solo  projects. In January  2012  the  first  series  of his kaleidoscopic  character  comedy  show  Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy aired on E4. Half live action, half animated,  the series introduced  us to some brand new  characters including, among others, New York cop Sergeant Raymond Boombox, modern day ‘Don Quixote’ Fantasy Man and Roy Circles, an anthropomorphic chocolate  finger  with  shell  shock.

Described  by The Independent  as “inescapably  whimsical,”  and  by The Guardian  as “a neo-‐psychedelic  riot of mirth,”  the show  starred  a number  of Mighty  Boosh  regulars  and  included  music  by Kasabian’s Sergio Pizzorno.  A second series was soon commissioned  and having now been completed, will  air  on  E4 later  this year.

In 2002 Noel took his debut solo show, Voodoo Hedgehog, to the Edinburgh Festival.  The show earned him a nomination for the prestigious Perrier Award and won him The Time Out Award for Outstanding  Achievement in Comedy. He went on to perform the showat The Melbourne  International  Comedy Festival the following spring.  A long running supporter of the charity, Noel has performed at numerous benefit shows in aid of The Teenage Cancer Trust.

Noel has held two exhibitions of his art. You’d be a fool to miss out, come along, bring your Nan, fancy dress optional.
