The Municipal Hotel & Spa Launches The Legacy Club To Celebrate 1st Anniversary

Since launching in May 2023, The Municipal Hotel & Spa Liverpool – MGallery has become an established luxury destination in the heart of the city. To commemorate its first anniversary, the five-star hotel will be transporting back in time to launch an exclusive ‘Legacy Club’ to the public, available to collect on the 9 May.

In keeping with the hotel’s heritage of time – as reflected in the historic building’s iconic clocktower, the ‘Legacy Club’ aims to give back to the community by offering former employees of The Municipal Building the chance to collect a ‘Legacy Club Membership Card’.

The card will entitle the owner to 10% off spa access and treatments, in addition to food and drink Monday – Thursday which they can redeem in the building’s stunning Palm Court, picturesque Botanic Tearoom, and brasserie-style Seaforth Restaurant, for a whole year.

To be in with a chance of collecting your very own ‘Legacy Club Membership Card,’ previous employees simply need to visit the hotel and quote ‘legacy’ anytime between 10am – 6pm on Thursday 9 May, and meet the team to fill in a short form, telling them a nostalgic story from their time working in the Municipal Building. The limited-edition card will only be available to the first 500 people through the door on the day.

Moreover, to further celebrate the momentous occasion, those that collect their ‘Legacy Club Membership Card’ will also be entered into a prize draw to win a free one-night stay for two people. Winners will be able to enjoy the hotel’s luxurious Palm Court, Seaforth Restaurant, state-of-the-art Spa – a true oasis and sanctuary in the heart of the bustling city, and French and Italian inspired rooms.

Reflecting on the hotel’s first birthday, General Manager at The Municipal Hotel & Spa, Annie Brown comments: “We’re so grateful for the support we’ve received from the public since opening a year ago and wanted to give something back to show our appreciation. Time is the essence and heart of the hotel, and what better way to mark the occasion than by celebrating those that used to reside in The Municipal Building. During our first year, we’ve been lucky enough to celebrate some iconic events in the city such as hosting Eurovision, and we can’t wait to see what the next year has in store.”

The Municipal Hotel & Spa Liverpool is situated in the heart of Liverpool’s bustling commercial district, a short stroll from Lime Street and Moorfield railway stations. Part of MGallery, Accor Group’s luxury boutique-hotel brand, the hotel resides in a Grade II listed heritage building from the mid-19th century on the city’s vibrant Dale Street and combines stylish, modern opulence with historic charm.

Managed by leading hotel management company, RBH Hospitality Management, the iconic listed building spans four floors and features 179 luxurious rooms. Reminders of the building’s past life as a council building continues to remain visible throughout the space, from a series of 7-foot-tall statues on the façade, to vintage phones and library style desks indoor.
