Weekly Noise: Week #53

Weekly Noise is a short and straightforward way of sharing Liverpool’s trending news and topics in the form of a weekly poem. Laura Chonzi will take the top trending hashtags or stories on social media and turn them into a ten-line poetic masterpiece for each week of the month, hence the name.

Things are finally looking up for Chelsea,
Will it last? Let’s just wait and see.
Sue Gray is currently being exposed,
All because her remarks were enclosed.
The day of love was literally midweek,
Hopefully surprises had your knees feeling weak.
Recession is currently making headlines,
All because it keeps extending its deadlines.
Meanwhile, our museums will be shut for a while,
All because the pay isn’t worth a smile.
