The Brain Charity Announces Neurovision Live Music Event Lineup

As the Eurovision Song Contest beckons, The Brain Charity is holding its own neurodiverse contribution to Liverpool’s Eurovision events calendar; Neurovision.

Neurovision is a live music event putting neurodiversity on the musical map – on Friday 5 May 2023 at 7pm at the Carnival Brewing taproom in Liverpool city centre.

Tickets cost just £17.50 for a fantastic night of live entertainment – click here to buy yours now!

The Brain Charity’s own neurodiverse version of the Eurovision Song Contest will feature special performances from a range of neurodivergent performers and will be headlined by a solo set from BANNERS.

The Liverpool-born musician will be returning to his roots for a special one-off acoustic set as he headlines the evening.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to playing to a Liverpool audience as there’s always such a buzz in the city for good music.”

The evening, which starts from 7pm, will also feature the three finalists in the charity’s Neurovision song competition.

They include 15 year-old Joshua Thomas-Conn, whose song 500 Words tells of his battle with dyslexia; Murdoch, a post-rock and hardcore artist whose poetic lyrics tackle mental health and emotional rawness; and Sandstone Silver, whose composition Starlight Inspiration deals with ADHD.

The winner of Neurovision will be decided on the night via a live audience vote – just like the real Eurovision Song Contest!

There will be lots more to look forward to on the evening including a Eurovision medley from the SingMe Merseyside Choir and a special guest appearance from one of Ireland’s 1982 Eurovision contenders.

There’ll also be a Eurovision quiz – with prize – and the evening will feature music sung by a Ukrainian performer.

A live house band will also be taking the stage to play Eurovision hits, and for those who like their music with a different spin, the night will finish with sets featuring the music of Squeeze and Steely Dan.

It’s an evening of music and fun to put you in the right mood for Eurovision the following week!
