Parklife Line-Up; The 1975 & Frank Ocean To Headline

Manchester’s Parklife has announced Frank Ocean and The 1975 as headliners at the two day festival.

After the release of Ocean’s hotly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Blonde’ last year it will be an opportunity for fans to see him perform tracks off the album as well as his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Channel Orange’ with his first UK performance since 2014.

Saturday’s headliners The 1975 will perform a homecoming show to remember at Heaton Park after huge international success with their album ‘I like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It’ which hit the number one spot in the USA.

Returning for its eight year, Parklife has previously played host to Snoop Dog, Major Lazer, The Chemical Brothers and Foals. The festival is known for its diverse line up from pop to hip hop, dance, indie rock and everything in between.

Other notable artists playing this year’s festival include Cabbage, A Tribe Called Quest, Boy Better Know, Two Door Cinema Club, Fatboy Slim, Rag n Bone Man, London Grammar, Wiley, Anderson Paak, Jagwar Ma, Armand Van Helden, Jess Glynne and Zara Larsson.

Parklife has also announced plans for their VIP festival-within-a-festival known as ‘Return To New York’, themed on the glamour of 1980’s downtown New York. With a cinema, street food stalls, an old school games arcade live art, a nail and hair parlour, a microbrewery and NYC Yoga classes it promises to be a funky way to take in this year’s festival. There will also be an exclusive VIP area set within the heart of the festival which will give you the opportunity to access surprise sets across the two days.
