Deva Fest 2025: Gloria Gaynor, Happy Mondays & Family Fun Galore for Festival’s 5th Birthday Bash

Deva Fest, the North West’s award-winning family-friendly festival, returns bigger and better than ever before! Taking place in the picturesque grounds of Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire from 7 – 10 August, Deva Fest is promising an unforgettable weekend packed with headline music acts, family-friendly activities, comedy and will be full of community spirit as they celebrate 5 years of this amazing festival.

This year’s headline acts include disco legend Gloria Gaynor, Scottish indie rockers The Fratellis, Madchester icons Happy Mondays, Bros frontman Matt Goss, and chart-topping DJ Sigala. With five stages of live entertainment, Deva Fest offers something for every music lover.

But the excitement doesn’t stop at the music. Deva Fest offers so much more for all the family, with immersive experiences including:

Laughter for All at Deva Laughs. Resident MC Danny McLoughlin returns to host Deva Laughs, the festival’s dedicated comedy showcase, running Friday to Sunday from 6pm–9pm. The first wave of talent includes Royal Variety Show performer Scott Bennett and Britain’s Got Talent 2020 runner-up Steve Royle. Expect a mix of household names and some of the UK’s brightest emerging comedy stars. The comedy is family-friendly from 6–7pm, then 16+ only from 7pm onwards, perfect for all generations to enjoy some laughs.

Paws and Applause. The First Ever Deva Dog Show! Animal lovers are also in for a treat as North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR) brings the Deva Dog Show to the festival. Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, the event features fun and friendly competitions including Loveliest Lady, Fabulous Fella, and Best Fancy Dress. Additional activities include fun agility, bale racing, “Found and Scent It”, canine parkour, and the opportunity to meet rescue dogs looking for their forever homes.

Take a Walk on the Wild Side with Chester Zoo. This year, Deva Fest is proud to partner with Chester Zoo to deliver inspiring conservation-themed activities and immersive experiences for all ages. Festivalgoers can enjoy interactive exhibits, glowing lantern installations, and educational storytelling, all designed to spark curiosity about the natural world and promote wildlife conservation in a fun, engaging way.

Flexible Tickets, Easy Travel & Festival Comforts for All. Deva Fest offers a range of ticket options to suit everyone, whether you’re coming for a single day or making a weekend of it. Choose from day tickets, weekend passes, camping packages and great-value family tickets, with under 5s going free. To make getting there even easier, a network of shuttle buses will run to and from the festival site from locations including Chester, Ellesmere Port, Wrexham, Tarporley, Tattenhall, Holt, Shrewsbury, Whitchurch, Nantwich, Crewe (including Crewe Station), Malpas, and more. Plus, all festival guests can enjoy the comfort of clean, high-quality “posh loos” because at Deva Fest, luxury isn’t reserved just for VIPs!
