Wellness With Purpose Returns to Liverpool This August to Raise Funds for The Azaylia Foundation
Following a successful debut that raised thousands for charity, Wellness With Purpose is returning to Liverpool this August for another inspiring day dedicated to wellbeing, community and fundraising.
Organised by author, fitness and wellness instructor Rebecca Burgess, the unique event takes place at BoxPark Liverpool on Saturday 8 August, from 10am to 5pm, with all proceeds supporting The Azaylia Foundation.
The day has been designed to combine self-care with socialising, giving guests the opportunity to invest in their own wellbeing while helping children and families affected by childhood cancer.
The morning session (10am–1pm) will feature Pilates, manifestation, meditation and a relaxing sound bath, accompanied by music from Liverpool favourite Sacha PVJ. The afternoon (2pm–5pm) will shift gears with a lively bottomless brunch, karaoke, games and entertainment from the legendary DJ Tizzle.
The Azaylia Foundation was established by Safiyya Vorajee and Ashley Cain in memory of their daughter, Azaylia, who sadly passed away from cancer. The charity supports families facing childhood cancer while campaigning for greater awareness and investment in research.
Safiyya, who will co-host this year’s event alongside Rebecca, said: “Wellness with Purpose has become so much more than an event to me. It’s a reminder that when people come together with open hearts, we can create something really meaningful.
“Last year, we saw strangers leave as friends, people take time to invest in their own wellbeing, and together we raised vital funds for children and families facing childhood cancer.
“I’m so excited to bring it back to BoxPark Liverpool for a second year. Every ticket sold helps us continue the work of The Azaylia Foundation, supporting families through the most difficult times while pushing for the change that children with cancer so desperately deserve.
“For me, this day is also about honouring my beautiful daughter, Azaylia, and every child bravely fighting childhood cancer. Their strength is the reason we keep showing up, keep raising awareness and keep believing we can create change.
“My hope is that everyone who joins us leaves feeling inspired, connected and proud to have been part of something bigger than themselves.”
Rebecca Burgess said she was inspired to launch the event after learning more about the challenges families affected by childhood cancer face.
“As a parent, it breaks my heart thinking about what Safiyya, Ashley and Azaylia went through. Finding out the shocking reality that only a minimal percentage of government funding goes into childhood cancer research is horrendous.
“I created this unique fundraising event not only to raise vital funds but awareness too. Last year we raised £3,500 and I’m on a mission to achieve even more this year to help make a difference for these children and families.”
Tickets are priced at £55 per session, with guests able to book either the morning wellness experience (10am–1pm) or the afternoon bottomless brunch and entertainment (2pm–5pm). Book your tickets via Eventbrite.
With a combination of wellness activities, live entertainment and fundraising for an important cause, Wellness With Purpose promises to be one of Liverpool’s feel-good charity events of the summer.
