Chinese New Year Celebrations at Royal Albert Dock Liverpool

Will you be lucky enough to get your hands on a special fortune cookie prize?

With this year marking the 20th anniversary of Liverpool’s twinning with Shanghai, an array of exciting Chinese New Year celebrations are due to take place across the city celebrating the ‘Year of the Pig’.

Down at the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, one of the UK’s most popular tourist destinations which also boasts the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in the UK, fortune cookies will be given out to Dock visitors on the weekends on 9-10th and 16-17th February. Many of these cookies have been personally filled with special prizes from the diverse mix of Royal Albert Dock restaurants, bars and shops, swapping the classic fortunes for a number of Dockside gifts.

For those lucky enough to get their hands on a customised cookie, prizes include treats from Rough Hand Made, Puffle Waffle and Costa Coffee, hand crafted goods from Leather Satchel Company and the Nest, along with giveaways from Beatle’s Story, Revolucion de Cuba, Miller & Carter, Smugglers Cove, Gusto, Lunyalita and Tate Liverpool.
