Summer Garden Party To Take Over Stanley Park
Stanley Park and The Isla Gladstone will come alive for the August bank holiday weekend as Liverpool prepares for a Summer Garden Party that all the family can enjoy.
The free event will see plenty of entertainment for all ages, including live music, workshops, performances, screenprinting, storytelling, facepainting and a wellbeing tent ran by Positivity Inc.CIC who will be offering taster sessions of yoga, meditation and mindfulness for children and grownups.
Other highlights include:
– Workshops with Square Pegs where children can create their own bird or bunny mask, then listen to and participate in interactive storytelling sessions, accompanied by music and props.
– An introduction to the art of Screenprinting with Paper Moon where kids over the age of 4 can take part in a hands on, woodland-themed print workshop.
– A performance of song and dance by children from the Staged Kaos group who have wowed crowds at Liverpool festivals this year, including Africa Oye.
– Live acoustic music from Liverpool-based acts including Rosenblume, The Mono LPs and Nick Ellis programmed in partnership with Mellowtone.
Stanley Park Liverpool CIC, part of the Isla Gladstone’s community development work, are organising the event with a range of partners and are supported by the Beautiful Ideas Company and Mayor Joe Anderson.
Stanley Park’s Summer Garden Party takes place on Saturday 28th August from 11:30am til 3pm and entrance is completely free.
