Today we meet Courtney the owner of new Liverpool business Formaggio that’s been stirring up a craze since launching just a week ago!
Courtney, please can you tell us a little bit about Formaggio?
We are a luxury mobile cheese cart, providing delicious cheeses, meats & crackers. We have 12 boxes available and guests can pick all of their favourite items to go in them.
What made you set up this business?
The idea initially came from my boyfriends love for cheese, during the summer of 2025 we use to sit in the garden most weekends with a glass of wine and make our own cheeseboards and that’s were the idea came from. Everyone loves a good cheeseboard so really wanted to create something that is cost effective for people to have at a family bbq, or any private event.
You’ve created a buzz on social media since launching, what exciting events have you already got in the diary?
I’m absolutely overwhelmed with the response weve had, ive already got we events booked this week, ones a launch event for a mens fashion brand which is a VIP event and ive also already had a garden party, hen party, baby shower and wedding booked in for the summer!
What makes you different to other grazing businesses?
We allow guests to have more choice on products and work with them and their budgets. We are flexible and can also theme our cart to fit into the decor which customers seem to love especially for the hen party and baby shower booking. People are also moving away from grazing tables and prefer the idea of a mobile cart especially as we get into summer and outdoor event season.
How many cheeses can guests pick and what are your most popular?
We have a range of around 8 different cheeses for customers to choose from, so far the flavoured cheddars like chilli and caramelised onion have been popular along with smoked cheeses.
Where do you see yourself in 12 months time?
I hope the business just continues to grow from strength to strength securing more bookings and in 12 months i would love to have another cart and look to expand our offerings further. Im just really happy to be doing something i love!
