Get ready to be dazzled by Liverpool’s waterfront as River of Light returns for another year of stunning illuminated installations! This year’s theme is “Play,” and the twelve large-scale artworks promise an experience that’s both fun and thought-provoking.

Pier Head

• Impulse by Lateral Office & CS Design: Step onto a giant, interactive seesaw that transforms your movements into light and sound.
• Piano Walk by Amigo & Amigo: Channel your inner musician on this oversized, walk-on piano.

Mann Island Atrium

• Rangoli Mirrored Cosmos by MURUGIAH: Celebrate Diwali with this vibrant, interactive light sculpture.
• Bubblesque by Atelier Sisu: Wade through a playful landscape of giant bubbles at Mann Island Basin.

Royal Albert Dock, Inner Quay (on the water)

• Illusion Hole by UxU Studio: Be mesmerized by the illusion of water cascading into a mysterious black hole.

Royal Albert Dock – Back of Maritime Museum Building

• Positive Spin by Liz Harry: Receive a random fortune from this whimsical, arcade-inspired machine.

• Lightbattle III by VENIVIDIMULTIPLEX: Hop on a bike and pedal your way to a dazzling light show (hand bikes available for accessibility).

River of Light 2024 Diwali Celebrations

Celebrate Diwali on Friday, 1 November with special performances by Bombay Baja and pianist Bhav near the Rangoli Mirrored Cosmos installation.
