Kae Sera releases the enchanting new track ‘Dames Jean’
Kae Sera has truly exploded onto the summer music scene with this brilliant new track Dames Jean.
Born and bred in Liverpool, Sera now resides in London and blends modern day electro-pop with familiar sounds from the 50s and 60s. This allows her to establish a sense of nostalgia and familiarity with her listeners.
Her new track Dames Jean has been described by Sera herself as a track that was written when she was ‘exploring the idea of gender and identity. As part of the LGBT community myself, I turned James Dean into a Dame because I wanted to nod to the frame of mind I was in during a relationship, when all was unclear.’
The song showcases hazy, summer vibes with Sera’s voice drifting soulfully over the top. There is something truly atmospheric about the track, the layers of sound filter together to create a beautiful blend of sounds. This dreamy song is the perfect accompaniment to these hot summer days to come and allows the poignant lyrics to shine through without seeming heavy.
