New Italian Restaurant, Amici, Opens On Aigburth Road

Amici, South Liverpool’s new Italian restaurant, has opened on Aigburth Road.

The venue, which has a capacity of 120, has unveiled its new interior after the owner, James Nolan, invested over £100,000 into refurbishing the venue with new seating and decor throughout, a full new kitchen along with new kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery, and a renovated bar area.

Decked out in emerald and gold hues, Amici is a warm and welcoming restaurant that is suitable for all with their lunch, A La Carte, Sunday Roast and dessert menu including options to suit all dietaries and preferences.

Available to book now, the Italian-inspired venue will specialise in delicious dishes from Stuzzichini; Italian snacks and nibbles, Primo starters, salads and burrata, wood stone oven-fired pizzas and calzones, risotto, pasta, fish and meat dishes so there’s something for everyone.

At lunchtime, guests can expect to enjoy two courses for £15.95 or three courses for £19.95 with a choice of starters including calamari, bruschetta, lamb meatballs, Caprese salad and pate. Mains such as Rigatoni Carne, Fettuccine Mushroom, steak frites, a tuna steak or chicken breast salad or mussel pot with a choice of a white wine sauce or rich tomato, garlic and parsley base.

During the evening, Amici’s A La Carte menu is available with a vast selection of dishes to suit all dietaries and preferences.

With a variety of starters including arancini, Dover king scallop and gamberoni, Amici also has a selection of delicious main courses that have been created by the venue’s talented Head Chef who has previously worked in Piccolino, Italian Club Fish and Restaurant Bar & Grill.

Mains include authentic Italian pasta dishes such as Truffle Tortellini, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Lasagne al Forno and a delicious Spaghetti Pescatore.

Risotto, delicious mussel pots, as well as meat, fish and grill dishes are also on the menu with standouts including Pollo Milanese, Lobster Thermidor and Amici’s fillet steak that is cooked to perfection.

On Sundays, guests can expect to tuck into Amici’s classic roast with a choice of roasted beef rump, roast chicken, roasted leg of lamb or nut roast, served with carrot puree, seasonal veg, braised red cabbage, rock salt roast potato, Yorkshire pudding, apricot and sage stuffing and red wine gravy.

Completing any dining experience is the venue’s homebaked desserts with a choice of chocolate raspberry brûlée served with shortbread, the ultimate Italian dessert Tiramisu, Limoncello cheesecake tart, chocolate brownie, affogato with cinnamon ice cream, Frangelico hazelnut liqueur and espresso or a selection of gelato.

Now available to book, Amici will be open seven days a week from 12pm. From 9pm on Friday and Saturdays, the venue will have live, acoustic music for guests who want to stay and enjoy drinks in the bar area.

Amici is home to an extensive cocktail list made up of expertly made classics as well as innovative creations that are unique to the restaurant-bar. There is also a full wine list, beers and soft drinks.

Here we’ve put together a menu that everyone will enjoy, from nibbles and light bites to an excellent lunch offering, to our A La Carte menu which is the showpiece of our restaurant.

“On Sundays, guests can enjoy a classic Sunday roast with all of the trimmings and for those who want to make a night of it on Friday and Saturday evenings, we’ll have acoustic music on from 9pm following our final dinner service where they can stick around to sip drinks in our bar area.
