Liverpool Art Fair Returns To The Royal Liver Building This Summer

Liverpool Art Fair will celebrate its 10th anniversary this summer at the prestigious Royal Liver Building, promising a spectacular showcase of local talent and creativity.

The event, which will be exhibiting and selling an unprecedented 200+ artists’ work, will open to the public on Friday 28 June and run until Sunday 18 August. Opening times are Tuesday to Sunday, 12-6pm and entry is free. Art prices start at £20, with a substantial “under £200” section, and everything is priced under £2000, ensuring there is something for every budget!

Liverpool Art Fair is an annual event that aims to showcase a wide range of affordable original art from a plethora of local artists. It provides a unique insight into the region’s creative talent and offers everyone, from seasoned collectors to first-time art buyers, the opportunity to own a piece of Liverpool’s art world.

Artists were selected from an open call, with anyone based within a 35-mile radius of Liverpool eligible to apply. A selection panel made up of; Sarah Lovell, Lead Officer for Culture at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Faith Bebbington, sculptor, Patrick Kirk-Smith, editor and director of ArtinLiverpool, and Angela Samata, arts professional and broadcaster, had the unenviable task of whittling down nearly 400 applicants.

During the seven weeks of the fair, a packed events programme will take place including creative workshops with partners Cass Art and a programme of events designed to support artists and creatives in starting and growing their businesses, in partnership with the BIPC (Business and Intellectual Property Centre).

The Liverpool Art Fair People’s Choice Award is also returning, allowing visitors to vote for their favourite artist until early August. The lucky winner, announced on 8 August, will receive a host of prizes, including vouchers from Cass Art, a stay at INNSiDE Liverpool with dinner at Gino’s, tickets to the RLB360 experience and an Artist Showcase with our Media Partner The Guide Liverpool.

The event’s major partner for 2024 is Liverpool Hope University who have been integral to the staging of this year’s fair. Liverpool BID Company have kindly supported though their Arts and Culture Fund, and the event is also sponsored by CBRE and Evelyn Partners; the team extend heartfelt gratitude for their support. Thanks also to Relish for their sponsorship of the opening event.
