Wes Anderson Party Coming To Baltic Social

Update August 2022: The Baltic Social is now permanently closed.

Fans of film writer and director Wes Anderson will be hugely excited to hear that there will be a themed party in his honour at The Baltic Social in October.

The event organised by Remake, Remodel follows their successful Wes Anderson parties at Manchester’s Deaf Institute and The Wardrobe in Leeds.

So get your Wes fancy dress at the ready with your berets, beanies and more as there will be a very special prize for the best dressed on the night. Think Team Zissou, Tenenbaums, bell boys, khaki scout campers and troubled children, fantastic foxes, birds & woodland creatures, students of Rushmore, pro dog protesters and many more…

Plus Mendl’s cake stall, themed drinks, Wes inspired props, deco and visuals from The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums, Moon Rise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr Fox, The Life Aquatic, Rushmore, Bottle Rocket, Isle Of Dogs & The Darjeeling Limited!

You can also expect music from Anderson’s soundtracks for a night of drinking and dancing to Bowie, Stooges, Ramones, The Velvet Underground and loads more.

Remake Remodel began seven years ago in Manchester, dubbed the nations saving grace of alternative rock ‘n’ roll, it’s a clubnight that cuts to the core of the music..and a touch of film thrown in there now too.

The Baltic Social feels like a fitting home for a Wes Anderson themed party, known for being a bit different (it’s home to the Punk Afternoon Tea) and having thrown its own wild parties in the past, we can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday night.
