Weekly Noise: Week #46

Weekly Noise is a short and straightforward way of sharing Liverpool’s trending news and topics in the form of a weekly poem. Laura Chonzi will take the top trending hashtags or stories on social media and turn them into a ten-line poetic masterpiece for each week of the month, hence the name.

What’s weirder than Christmas on a Monday?
That’s right, New Year’s also being the same day.
Miles of cars have been trapped in the snow,
At this time, it is quite the low blow.
Next year is literally next week,
You ought to be grateful if you’re not weak.
Meanwhile, Storm Gerrit and its supercells are now terrorising the nation,
It’s all just one big weather situation.
Now there’s talk about a civil war,
We pray the topic doesn’t stay on the floor.
