Weekly Noise: Week #38

Weekly Noise is a short and straightforward way of sharing Liverpool’s trending news and topics in the form of a weekly poem. Laura Chonzi will take the top trending hashtags or stories on social media and turn them into a ten-line poetic masterpiece for each week of the month, hence the name.

The time has changed, meaning now it gets dark early,
November is upon us, meaning this year’s ending, clearly.
This year’s Halloween was surely one for the books,
Kudos to everyone for all their spooky looks.
The Covid inquiry is still the talk of the town,
Cause the lack of truth keeps making us frown.
Meanwhile Chelsea has been selected for the Carabao Cup live broadcast in December,
Hopefully it’ll be a match to remember.
Storm Ciarán is ushering us into the weekend with grave hostility,
Which isn’t surprising since storms are notorious for their brutality.
