Wavertree Town Hall Restaurant Breathes New Life Into The Historic Building

Wavertree Town Hall’s doors are open once again, with a new restaurant and bar. The Wavertree Town Hall Restaurant is run by former Gusto Albert Dock manager Lisa Dixon and her business partner Natalie Doughty.

Wavertree Town Hall was built in 1872 as the headquarters of the Wavertree Local Board of Health. This was the body responsible for paving, lighting and cleaning the streets.

The Grade II Listed building has lay empty for many years after a couple of failed restaurant ventures, however with over fifty years of combined experience at some of the UK’s leading hospitality groups, both Lisa and Natalie are experts in the industry, so there’s a promising future for the venue.

The menu is contemporary with favourites on there such as steaks, peri peri chicken, fish and chips and lamb rump. And there’s a really impressive vegan and vegetarian selection on the menu with vegan fish and chips, Pakora burger (cauliflower florets deep fried in a spiced batter) and Seitan steak.
