The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail Is Coming to Arley Hall, Cheshire for Its UK Debut
Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is coming to life in Cheshire this autumn, as an immersive light trail inspired by the much-loved film makes its UK debut at Arley Hall & Gardens.
Following acclaimed runs in New York, Austin and São Paulo, where more than 500,000 people have experienced the attraction, Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail will take over the historic grounds of Arley Hall from 22 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.
The nighttime experience will transform the Cheshire estate into the worlds of Halloween Town and Christmas Town, with more than 1,700 light installations spread across 24 sections of the trail.
Visitors will journey through the story alongside Jack Skellington, Sally and Zero, encountering familiar characters, locations and moments from Tim Burton’s iconic 1993 film.
Interactive video projections, intelligent LED lighting, music and 3D-printed sculptures will be used throughout the experience, with four brand-new scenes also being introduced for the UK trail.
Halloween Town and Christmas Town Brought To Life
The trail has been designed to capture the distinctive look and atmosphere of The Nightmare Before Christmas, taking visitors from the eerie surroundings of Halloween Town into the festive sparkle of Christmas Town.
Its arrival at Arley Hall also gives the experience a suitably atmospheric backdrop. The Cheshire estate has previously welcomed more than 400,000 visitors to light trail experiences.
Alongside the illuminated trail itself, visitors will be able to enjoy seasonal food and drink, browse exclusive merchandise and make use of on-site parking.

A New Halloween and Christmas day Out Near Liverpool
With Arley Hall around an hour’s drive from Liverpool, the trail could make a great seasonal day out for families and fans of the film from across Liverpool City Region and the wider North West.
Its run from late October until early January also means visitors can experience it across two very different seasons – beginning as a spooky Halloween outing before becoming a festive Christmas experience as winter arrives.
The attraction has been created by LETSGO in partnership with Adventureland and is presented by special arrangement with Disney Theatrical Group. Adventureland is part of the producing team behind Broadway’s Hamilton, while LETSGO is also behind immersive attractions including Tim Burton’s Labyrinth and Naturaleza Encendida.
The Arley Hall edition is being produced by LETSGO in partnership with Tokyo Industries.
When do tickets go on sale?
The waiting list for Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail at Arley Hall opens on 10 September 2026, giving those who register early access to tickets.
The presale begins on 16 September, before tickets go on general sale on 17 September 2026.
General admission starts from £32 for adults, with discounted tickets available for children and seniors.
The trail runs at Arley Hall & Gardens, Cheshire, from 22 October 2026 until 3 January 2027.
