The Brink Encourages The North West To Detox For Dry January
With Dry January underway, The Brink is encouraging the North West to cut down on alcohol consumption through a unique detox.
To accompany the Parr Street venue’s already extensive range of 130 non-alcoholic beverages, the revolutionary dry-bar has introduced an exclusive Dynamic Detox devised with a New Year health-kick in mind.
In a bid to help guests ‘start the day right’, the Dynamic Detox will combine a healthy Brink Breakfast with a fresh press, juice or smoothie – all of which are packed with body cleansing antioxidants.
General Manager of The Brink Carl Bell said: “Dry January is a great opportunity to not only give up alcohol, but also take part in a detox after over-indulging during the festive season. While we have an unrivalled amount of caffeine-free fruit and herbal teas and decaf coffee, we are encouraging our guests to start the day feeling refreshed and energetic with our special detox blends.
“Detox diets are so beneficial as not only do they help to abstain you from overloading your body with harmful sugar-packed processed food, they also offer ample nutritional value, which speeds up the elimination of old toxins and promote cell renewal. As our drinks combine a unique medley of fresh fruit and raw vegetables, not only do they act as a healthy cleanser, they also taste delicious.”
Detox drinks include Instant Energizer – Orange, Ginger and Carrot, which is a potent mix of anti-inflammatory, gentle cleansing and beautifying nutrients and an excellent source of vitamin A for glowing skin; Dynamic Detox – Apple, Banana, Curly Kale, Cucumber and Lime, which is a green vibrant refreshing drink that provides energy, promotes stomach and cardiovascular health and features antioxidant properties for toxin removal and improved digestion, together with Beet Treat – Raw Beetroot, Ginger, Sweet Apple and Raw Celery, a juice therapy that helps to restore health, rejuvenate and detoxify the body.
The venue which was crowned Bar of the Year at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2015, also serves up a selection of special mocktails. As a healthy and flavoursome alternative to alcoholic beverages, popular blends include The Brink Panther, Very Berry, Virgin Margarita and Nojito.
Carl added: “For those wanting to cut down on the calories, perhaps as a New Year’s resolution, our Head Chef Paul Elackman has also devised a culinary catalogue with healthy eating in mind.
“From raw-food dishes to superfood ingredients, all of our meals are made using fresh, local produce and there are a number of unique and interesting options to choose from – there is certainly something for everybody to enjoy.”
As part of the Dynamic Detox, fresh presses, juices and smoothies are priced at £2.50 each when purchased with a Brink Breakfast (served all day).
