Sugababes To Play Aintree Racecourse This May
Following the reveal of Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics making their Red Rum Garden debut in June, The Jockey Club Live and Aintree Racecourse have announced they will welcome the Sugababes to headline live after evening racing for the first time on Friday 19 May.
One of the most successful British bands of the 21st century, Sugababes clocked up six Number One singles, multiple multi-platinum albums and became one of the most spectacular stories of the modern pop era.
Fast forward two decades, the original line up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy arrived back in full force becoming the talk of the summer festivals last year, including having to shut down their field at Glastonbury due to demand. Expect to hear iconic tracks such as ‘Freak Like Me’, ‘Round Round’, ‘Hole In The Head’, ‘About You Now’ and ‘Push The Button’ .
Dickon White, Regional Director of Jockey Club Racecourses, North West said, “Sugababes are one of the UKs most iconic bands and we can’t wait to welcome them. Alongside Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics, we have a stellar line-up of music nights ahead so I am firmly looking forward to the summer!”
Sugababes said, “We had such an amazing time playing festivals last year, we can’t wait to kick off the season with you all at Aintree Racecourse on 19 May!”
The Jockey Club Live events continue to be renowned for combining an electric evening at the races with a spectacular evening concert in an informal and relaxed open-air setting.
