Sound City 2025 Just Got Bigger: New Artists Added To The Lineup

With less than a month to go, the countdown to Sound City 2025 is well and truly on. With over 50 names already revealed, Sound City have dropped even more additions ensuring that at each turn there’s an exciting new name or current beloved new favourite to be seen and a new favourite band to be discovered.

Joining the lineup today are the likes of indie supergroup Everyone Says Hi, Liverpool’s own electro-twisted favourites Monks, talked-about online favourites Girl Group, the soaring indie songwriting of Ellur, indie-rock breakthroughs Rosellas and the powerhouse punch of Daytime TV. The spell-binding Matt-Felix touches down in Liverpool this May, as does the likes of Paige Kennedy, fletchr fletchr, M60, The Lags, Ruby J, ELLis.D, Hongza and many more – adding to a lineup that from start to finish roars with the sort of ambition that helps define what new music is all about. All gathered across the streets of Liverpool City Centre, there’s nowhere quite like it for music fans and eager culture lovers in the heart of one of the world’s true musical capitals. 

Reflecting the most exciting new artists that are destined to soundtrack the year ahead – Sound City sits as a temperature check on the bands and artists making their mark before anyone else whilst leading the way for gender balance within the new music and festival worlds, with next year’s return already shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend in Merseyside between 3-4 May 2025.

With an unquestionable reputation as the first place to catch artists primed to define eras and moments, and a breakthrough step for a new wave of music – Sound City sits as the home of new music discovery and a true reflection on music fans’ favourite new artists.

Sound City 2025 Lineup Already Announced

Headlined by the universal indie anthems of The Royston Club and the piercing songwriting brilliance of Dylan John Thomas, Sound City 2025 sees the likes of STONE, Nieve Ella, RIanne Downey, Overpass, Panic Shack, Siobhan Winifred, Keo, The Guest List, Imogen And The Knife, Ist Ist, The Cheap Thrills, Maya Delilah, Disgusting Sisters, Brogeal, TTSSFU, Better Joy, Keyside, The Stingrays, Delights, Basht, Alex Spencer, Charlie Pittman and more come to town – with a lineup guaranteed to shape and soundtrack the year to come. 

Speaking about the latest additions and the countdown to Sound City 2025, Managing Director Becky Ayres says: “We can’t believe that we’re less than a month away from Sound City 2025. We’re delighted to reveal even more names joining our 18th edition, bringing together artists that new music fans have been flocking to over the past year, are set for massive breakthrough moments or are ready to be discovered and become people’s new favourite artists. That mix across the streets of the city we love is so important, showcasing what the North West does best – and we can’t wait to welcome everyone for an unforgettable weekend at the start of May.”

Sound City+ Conference

In addition to the Sound City weekend of live music programming, this year’s Sound City+ Conference will take place in Liverpool on Friday 2 May with a packed schedule of future-facing discussions, workshops, masterclasses and networking opportunities confirming Sound City’s place at the heart of the music business, championing and supporting new creative and industry talent.

This year sees the Sound City+ Conference team up with the BPI, the representative voice for the UK’s world-leading record companies and labels businesses. As part of the conference, BPI will bring its In Tune With Tomorrow Summit to Liverpool, extending the reach of this acclaimed event beyond London for the first time. Forming a core strand of the Sound City+ Conference, BPI’s In Tune With Tomorrow Summit will present a full day of future-facing content on how the music industry can support creative and industry talent and champion human-led creativity, including a keynote address from BPI CEO Dr Jo Twist OBE.
