Shoktoberfest: Liverpool’s Halloween Twist on Oktoberfest

Organisers of Liverpool’s biggest Oktoberfest event have revealed a special Halloween spooktacular for opening night. Shoktoberfest promises scary steins and creepy costumes at the city’s waterfront Exhibition Centre on the 26 October.

Revellers are being encouraged to dress up for a contest to find the best and worst costumes with a mix of party games set to create a unique atmosphere.

Paul Laing from Oktoberfest Liverpool said: “We want people to enjoy the traditional feel of Oktoberfest while also celebrating Halloween in a fun and interactive way. It’s going to be an unforgettable night with plenty of spine-tingling surprises.

“Of course, we’ll still have live music not only from our oompah bands but also between performances with DJ Freak N Stein playing all the big horror anthem singalongs!

“There’s bratwurst from Bavaria, mountains of pretzels, lots of lederhosen and a haunted house so expect a ghoulishly good night.

“We hope the thrills of Shoktoberfest provide the perfect build up to our more traditional weekend Oktoberfest.”

The Shoktoberfest session takes place on Thursday from 5pm-11pm with traditional sessions on Friday 26 October from 6pm -11pm and Saturday 27 October 12-5pm and 6-11pm. Tickets are priced at £16 and are available at www.ticketquarter.co.uk
