RivFest Returns With Impressive Festival Line Up In Memory Of Viola Beach Guitarist

Following their first, modest festival last year The River Reeves Foundation has announced a huge line up for this year’s RivFest17.

On 2 September 2017, 5000 music lovers will convene at Warrington’s Priestley College to celebrate sensational bands, enjoy tasty street food, browse some fab craft stalls and enjoy a drink or two with friends and family.

The musical line up include Maximo Park, Billy Bragg, Eliza and The Bear, Spring King, The Rain Band, SlyDigs, Weekend Wars, The Jackobins and Stillia.

RivFest was set set up in memory of Viola Beach guitarist River Reeves who tragically died along with his band mates and manager in a car accident in Sweden last February. All proceeds from the festival will go to the River Reeves fund.

The RivFest team are passionate about the festival growing as River would want it to, supporting new talented acts as well as established performers. RivFest17 will remain true to what made River tick! The organisers have massive ambitions for this festival and with the help of attendees and supporters, will build it over the coming years.

River along with his bandmates and manager in Viola Beach were destined for the top before their journey was cut tragically short in Sweden last year.

RivFest said “We want River’s journey to continue so that everything River and his mates achieved in their short but wonderful lives can live on in those that the River Reeves Foundation intends to support.

Working in close partnership with Arriva Northwest and Warrington Borough Council, Rivfest17 will be part of The Warrington Festival this year and hopefully many years to come!

£1 of every ticket sale going to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
