QUARRY To Reopen In Iconic Hardman Street Venue This Autumn

Independent music and arts venue QUARRY has announced it will reopen this Autumn at 45 Hardman Street, the legendary former home of The Magnet and The Sink Club. The move signals an exciting new chapter for the grassroots venue following the closure of its Love Lane site in May.

Known for its progressive programming, community-led ethos, and support of Liverpool’s underground and LGBTQI+ music scenes, QUARRY’s relocation to the city centre marks a significant step forward. The new venue offers a purpose-built basement for live music, alongside multiple spaces for events and a dedicated bar—doubling down on the venue’s commitment to emerging talent and inclusive nightlife.

In a statement the team said: “We recognise that this iconic site is steeped in history. We aim to acknowledge what has come before us while also adding something new… This is a grassroots project through and through, with musicians, artists and creatives coming together and doing the work to create a space for everyone to enjoy.”

With increased capacity, central location, and a venue steeped in musical heritage, the new space allows QUARRY to scale its ambitions while retaining its DIY spirit.

The team also paid tribute to their late friend and collaborator Joe, who contributed to the venue’s recent development work and whose creative energy they say will continue to inspire the space’s future.

QUARRY’s new home is expected to open in Autumn 2025. To support the project, follow @quarryliverpool on Instagram, visit quarrysound.co.uk.
