PINS Gets Its Freak On For A Full Halloween Weekend
Leading Liverpool venue PINS has revealed its plans for this year’s Halloween celebrations – and they’re making a whole diabolical weekend of it.
It kicks off on 28 October with a Halloween-themed Friday Night Bandstand – as the name suggests there’s live music running right through the night, from 5.30pm until late.
Featuring the PINS House band, plus specially invited guests, there’s a sixties vibe and if you time it right you can take advantage of Happy Hour between 5pm and 7pm. Even better, all booth bookings can enjoy an extra two hours of Happy Hour prices up until 9pm.
Following on into Saturday daytime, the special Halloween Brunch and Bowl includes live music from Rob Mather.
With sittings at 1pm and 3pm, Brunch and Bowl is one of the city’s most popular brunches and the only one to feature not only bottomless pizzas and drinks but also a game of bowling on the Duke Street venue’s 12-full sized lanes. Bookings can be made through the PINS website.
Saturday evening is all about the main event, and you’re invited to meet the Zombie class of 1922, at the spectacular PINS Prom.
Taking its influences from classic American High School parties, channel your inner Prom King or Queen, accessorised with a century’s worth of decay and dug-up glamour.
Saturdays at PINS are now one of the city’s favourite haunts and the free Halloween event is no exception and this special includes a special performance from Deadbeat Brass, a 10-piece Riot Jazz brass band who take popular rock and dance floor classics and bring them to life with the upbeat grooves of the New Orleans street band style.
Proving the dead can dance, the PINS performers will be shaking their bones on the venue’s runway, with some vampish Vogue and street dance sets, and house DJs are ready to deliver a whole night of murder on the dance floor.
After throwing some moves, head to PINS bar and treat yourself to a killer cocktail, including the classic Zombie (naturally); whatever your poison there’s a huge range of sprits and beers to choose from.
Of course Halloween’s all about dressing up, and whether you fancy yourself as a graduate, geek, cheerleader or jock, fancy dress is positively encouraged – with spot prizes for the best (or worst) looking guests.
Walk-ups to Saturday’s Halloween PINS Prom are welcomed – however the venue team anticipate that it’ll be one of their busiest nights, so advise guests to arrive early or make an advance booth or table booking to avoid disappointment.
