MĀNUKA – a brand new hangout nestled in the heart of the Ropewalk’s area has opened its doors this week. It’s the perfect setting for those seeking a more laid back life, full of flavour & goodness.
Named after the revered Manuka honey, native to New Zealand and Australia, this new neighbourhood restaurant is set to tantalise taste buds with its locally sourced produce and modern Antipodean dishes serving a menu of fresh, healthy brunch and lunch favourites served the MĀNUKA way.
MĀNUKA promises a laid back experience as guests are encouraged to enjoy life ‘sunny side up’ with specially curated brunch dishes by day and tantilising small plates by night. Alongside an outstanding wine and cocktail menu inspired by life from the Southern Hemisphere, evoking a sense of warmth and togetherness.
By day, MĀNUKA invites guests to indulge freshly baked pastries, specialty coffee, and nutritious smoothies, starting the day on a wholesome note. As the sun sets, MĀNUKA transforms into a cozy evening spot, offering a selection of small plates, wines & cocktails, against a soulful soundtrack of Iive music & DJ’s.

The venue is dedicated to partnering with sustainable companies, from spirit providers, coffee suppliers, ingredients and garnishes, in a serious bid to offset their carbon footprint. They welcome local independent suppliers and artists to reach out to them to showcase and sell their goods and thrive together.
