Lois Levin: The Rising Star of British Jazz Unveils New Single ‘Excuse’

British jazz sensation Lois Levin is making waves in the music industry once again with her latest single, Excuse.

Known for her soothing melodies and irresistible charm, Levin is proving herself as an artist to watch.

Following the success of previous hits like Sugar, Burden, Call Me Names, and Pheromones—which have collectively racked up over 175,000 streams – ‘Excuse’ promises to be another standout addition to her growing catalogue.

The track explores themes of unresolved tension, mixed signals, and unspoken emotions, resonating deeply with listeners. Levin describes the single as “navigating those moments when you realise all the things you planned to do with someone never actually happened, and you’re left with no choice but to let go.”

Levin’s meteoric rise in the jazz-pop scene has been fuelled by her work with esteemed producers such as Jon Withnall (Coldplay, Rihanna) and Steve Levine (Culture Club, The Beach Boys).

Since signing with the Merseyside-based Jazz and Soul label New Retro Records in 2024, she has gained widespread recognition, with airplay across BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6, and frequent features on Jazz FM.

Live performances have been a defining feature of Levin’s career. After a stellar run of sold-out shows in 2024, she kicked off 2025 with sold-out performances at the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room and The Jacaranda in Liverpool.

Up next, she is set to perform at London’s St Pancras Old Church on June 12, 2025—an event that promises to be another unforgettable night for fans.

Levin’s upcoming EP, Motions, is scheduled for release on May 9, 2025.

With accolades from major publications and a growing legion of dedicated listeners, she is undeniably on a trajectory toward stardom.
