Liverpool Welcomes Announces Arts & Music Fundraiser In Aid of Refugees; 14th November
Liverpool Welcomes; an Arts and Music Fundraiser and community building event in aid of refugees, will take place on Saturday 14th November at 24 Kitchen Street.
The fundraiser gig, held at The Baltic Triangle’s 24 Kitchen Street, will see music from local artists Science of the Lamps, Dominic Dunn, Francisco Carrasco, Mersey Wylie, Katumba, The Soul Rays and Lotharios, plus acoustic performances.
There will also be an action-packed day full of outreach and creative events to be announced soon. The free, family-friendly follow up event will feature a variety of workshops, arts and music, activities and community outreach from local refugee support agencies, to give attendees advice on what they can do to help.
Liverpool is a generous city with a big heart and Liverpool Welcomes intends to celebrate friendship and support for Asylum Seekers here, as well as abroad. Liverpool Welcomes first aims to fundraise, and also to support local charities who build bridges, a sense of community and support networks within the city. The money raised through this event will go towards the charities Merseyside Refugee Support Network and MSF Doctors Without Borders.
Liverpool Welcomes are inviting people to donate or volunteer with local charities. Plus…an online auction launched to raise funds with new prizes each week! Keep an eye on the Liverpool Welcomes website for details.
