Liverpool Print Fair Returns 8th April
It was back in October that Liverpool Noise last spoke to Scott Duffy and Abigail “Abe” Sinclair about the inaugural Liverpool Print Fair.
“We had sixty prints to give out to the first people through the door and they went in an hour” Abe tells me in the garden of The Merchant where her and Scott took a few moments away from the latest Print Social to talk to me. “And that was taking into account the people who didn’t want one!”
Scott and Abe hope to repeat this success in April when they will be returning to The Bluecoat for a second time. The first hundred people through the door will receive a free tote bag and stickers and also will be able to choose a free print from three designs. These include a work by members of The Print Social as well as from two organizations exhibiting at the event, Toucan Tango and Things By Us.
Workshops on monoprint, screen printing and drypoint will be available but, have nearly sold out! What tickets are left can purchased via The Bluecoats website here.
“All money raised will be going to the Bluecoat Print Studio which is great. If that wasn’t there we wouldn’t print” Abe tells me. “It’s a really good and accessible way for people to try printmaking.”
The second Liverpool Print Fair takes place on April 8th at The Bluecoat on School Lane between 10.30am and 5pm. Be sure to get there early if you want a free print and tote bag.
A full list of artists exhibiting can be found on the website here. The Print Social continues to meet monthly. Details can be found on their Facebook page.
