Liverpool’s LMA Dancers Prepare For Britain’s Got Talent Final Following Golden Buzzer Success

A 66-person dance collective from LMA Liverpool is preparing to compete in the live final of Britain’s Got Talent this Saturday, following a standout semi-final performance that earned them a Golden Buzzer from Alesha Dixon.

The group, made up of undergraduate and postgraduate dance students aged 19–24, represents Liverpool as well as wider parts of the UK, with performers travelling to the city from North Wales, Yorkshire, the Midlands, Scotland and the South of England to train at LMA Liverpool.

Their semi-final routine secured them an automatic place in the final after Dixon pressed the Golden Buzzer during the live ITV broadcast, sending them straight through to Saturday’s show where the winner will take home a £250,000 prize.

Now in the final stages of rehearsals, the collective is preparing to perform once again in front of millions of viewers across the UK, with their choreography already widely praised for its precision, scale and visual impact.

The performance has been choreographed by internationally renowned artist Sadeck Berrabah, known for his signature “Murmuration” movement style. The routine focuses on large-scale synchronisation rather than solo performance, with all 66 dancers moving as a unified formation to create striking visual patterns.

Unlike traditional dance acts built around featured performers, the piece is structured around collective movement and teamwork, reflecting the demands of commercial and screen-based professional dance.

Since their first appearance on the show, the LMA dancers have become one of the most talked-about acts of the series, generating strong engagement across social media and national press coverage.

The final represents a major milestone not only for the students involved, but also for Liverpool’s wider creative and performing arts sector, with the city once again represented on a major national stage.

Alongside intensive rehearsal and filming schedules for the ITV competition, the students have continued balancing their degree-level training and end-of-year performances at LMA Liverpool.

Founder of LMA Liverpool Richard Wallace said the institution is “incredibly proud” of the group’s achievement.

“I know I speak on behalf of the whole of LMA when I say just how incredibly proud I am of this group of performers and we’re delighted that the UK is seeing just how talented they all are,” he said.

“Seeing them get through to the final has been amazing and the Golden Buzzer moment was something none of us will ever forget.

“The team has worked so hard together over the past few months and what makes this performance so special is that it’s completely built around unity and trust. Every single person matters in the piece and I think audiences really connect with that.

“We’re immensely proud of how they’ve represented both the institution and the city of Liverpool throughout this journey, and we’re excited for the public to see what they deliver in the final.”

Head of Dance at LMA Liverpool Kemal Kuguloglu added that the students have shown “extraordinary” professionalism throughout the competition.

“To see our students reach the Britain’s Got Talent final has been extraordinary. The level of professionalism, discipline and teamwork they’ve shown throughout this process has been exceptional,” he said.

“The choreography itself is incredibly demanding, requiring complete trust, timing and precision across all 66 performers. The students have embraced every challenge whilst continuing their studies and training at LMA.”

The live final of Britain’s Got Talent airs this Saturday evening on ITV, with the winner decided entirely by public vote.
