Taskers is set to return to Formby after eight years next week with the opening of a major new 8,000 sq ft home store, and shoppers will be able to celebrate its arrival with an exclusive 10% Bank Holiday discount of every item.
Opening its doors on Thursday 27 August, the new Taskers store on Altcar Road will offer a carefully selected range of the retailer’s best-selling furniture, lighting, pictures and mirrors, rugs and home accessories.
The launch will see Taskers take over the former Formby Cycles premises, retaining three existing members of staff from the much-loved local business while also creating four new jobs.
The new store marks an exciting return to Formby for the family-run retailer, which previously had a presence in the town.
To celebrate the opening, Taskers will offer shoppers an exclusive 10% discount off everything online and in both its new Formby store and flagship Aintree store throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, using the code AUG10.

Designed to offer a more convenient way for customers in Formby and the surrounding areas to shop some of Taskers’ most popular ranges, the 8,000 sq ft store will showcase furniture and home furnishings alongside statement lighting, mirrors, pictures, rugs and a selection of the products that have become best sellers at the retailer’s flagship Aintree store.
The opening represents the latest stage in Taskers’ continued growth, with the family-run business, which has been serving customers in Liverpool since 1958, continuing to invest in new ways to bring its products and in-store experience closer to communities across the city region.
With the Bank Holiday discount available in store and online, shoppers will have the opportunity to be among the first through the doors at the new Formby store while enjoying savings across Taskers’ wider range.
The new Taskers Formby store will be open daily, officially opening on Thursday 27th August at 10am, with the AUG10 code available for the Bank Holiday promotion in the Formby and Aintree stores, as well as online.
