Liverpool Light Night 16th May 2014 Highlights
We look at some of our highlights for this years Light Night;
Friends of the Flyover & BEGAN Lighting The Way
(Churchill Way Flyover, Cuerden Street, L3,10pm-11.30pm) Friends of the flyover invite you to join design professionals and students in creating a light installation on the walkways of Churchill way flyover.
Carnival Show
(St Peter’s Sq, 9pm-10pm) Liverpool Samba School and dancers take to the streets to celebrate LightNight. Experience a Rio style carnival show.
Make A Liver Bird
(Museum Of Liverpool, Pier Head, 4pm-9pm) Join artist Ali Harwood in creating enough little Liver Birds to match the size of the real Liver Bird.
Movie Cars by Mark Harrison
(Arena Studios & Gallery, 1st Floor Elevator Studios, CUC Parliament St, 6pm-9pm) Mark Harrison is an illustrator and artist based in Liverpool. his new exhibition of paintings, drawings and prints celebrates cars from the movies including Psycho to Drive. Entry via The Baltic Social.
A Slice Of Liverpool
(Siren/54 St James St, 4pm-10pm) Experience a slice of Liverpool at an exhibition event with 54  St James Street and Siren. Home-grown music scouse grub. Liverpool businesses displaying local produce and an opportunity to capture the skyline city views that will leave you falling in love with Liverpool all over again.
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory Scented Cinema
(Lush Spa, 9-11 Whitechapel, 7pm-9pm) Allow Lush to take you into a world of pure imagination. Your senses will be be tantalised with exciting fragrances as you watch the 1971 adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl novel.
Twilight Tower Tour
(Anglican Cathedral, 5.30pm-10.30pm) Take two lifts and 108 steps to cross the Cathedrals famous bell chamber and experience magical panoramic views  of the city . £5 per ticket.
Blackburne House Ghost Hunt
(Blackburne House, Blackburne Place, 7pm-9pm & 9.30pm-11.30pm) Join Liverpool’s leading paranormal investigators. Night Vision Investigations as they lead you on a ghost hunt of Blackburne house situated  on Hope Street (£12 usually £20) over 18s only.
Tours of Liverpool’s Old Dock
